Alliteration Amusement

Chana has a really cute game going on which has inspired me to propose one of my own. The challenge is to pick a letter of the alphabet and see who can come up with the longest paragraph composed solely of words beginning with that letter. The paragraph does not have to mean anything, but it does have to make sense. Since this is the first time, I'll start with a relatively easy letter. Feel free to use a thesaurus. I know I did.

Pretty Persephony pushed plump purple pumpkins past portly Pete's Pastry Palace pleased past portionable probability. "Perchance, Pete pirates purple pumpkins," posited Persephony. "Poppycock!" projected Pete pleasantly, "pirating pays peanuts." "Pretty please," pressed Persephony, "Perhaps pirating purple pumpkins pluralizes pennies." "Pluralizes pennies?" parroted portly Pete, "phenomenal!"

I could go on, but shabbos is coming and I don't want to get lost in blogland :) Anyway, you get the idea. Let the games begin!

Chloe contemned carrots. Casper carefully considered creatively coloring carrots cherry-colored. "Can Chloe consider carrots candy?" Casper canvassed. Casper cast cherry-color coverings concerning carrots. Concerning Chloe, Casper crowed. "Can cat-calling!" Chloe criticized. Cross, Chloe clomped carelessly, crossing Casper's courtyard. Casper cut cherry-colored carrot candy, choosing crop creams, clandestine creating cherry-colored carrot candy crumbs. Chloe choked. "Cherry-colored carrots!" Chloe cawed. "Contemptible!" Casper colored, chagrined. Cranky, Chloe crossed courtyards. Casper complained, "Crud. Chloe can't consider carrots candy. Calamitous!"

Anyone seen "V for Vendetta" ?
It's not entirely alliteration, but its pretty close. And, its brilliant!

"VoilĂ ! In view, a humble vaudevillian veteran, cast vicariously as both victim and villain by the vicissitudes of Fate. This visage, no mere veneer of vanity, is a vestige of the vox populi, now vacant, vanished. However, this valorous visitation of a by-gone vexation, stands vivified and has vowed to vanquish these venal and virulent vermin van-guarding vice and vouchsafing the violently vicious and voracious violation of volition.
The only verdict is vengeance; a vendetta, held as a votive, not in vain, for the value and veracity of such shall one day vindicate the vigilant and the virtuous.
Verily, this vichyssoise of verbiage veers most verbose, so let me simply add that it's my very good honor to meet you and you may call me V."

Erachet- amazing! much longer than mine. as of now, you're the winner;)

a.j- one of my favorite movies! I'll have to disqualify it for several reasons, one and two being it doesn't originate from your own mind, and it's got words that don't start with V. still, thanks for taking the time to write it out- It's even better on paper:)

David didn't do duties drawing deer. "Dilly-dallier!" denounced Dana. "Don't disparage!" defended doleful David. Duly David did disengenuous deportment dealing decks. Disturbingly, dinosaurs dreamt David dug ditches. Days didn't develop delightfully. Drool dripped downward dampening David's dinner. Dana deliriously drummed ditties displaying deep disgust. Demonic dates drained Dana's dynamism. "D'oh!" declared David. "Dear Dana, dates don't demand diversion. Despite dreams, dear, doing duties doesn't devise delight." Dana differed demurely. "David, don't defend disastrous dates. Dumb duds deserve dumping."

Ok, Ok. Here's mine:
Absolute antipathy abounds. Aggressive allocution arouses anger albeit ancillary. Actually, agarose antibodies and aggerose augurs allegorically argue apropos articulate accentuation. Alternatively, amusing alliteration affects all abscessed affinity after absconded altruism. Acceptable achievement? Affirmative! As asinine apricots aberrate alarming agitation, ascending antecedents anticipate alluring affirmations, ala an ambivalent asterix. Are animals accepting angioplasty? Absolutely. Acrogenous allocation allots aliquots approaching agitative apex. All accomplished. Adulations accepted. Adieu.

Thank you dictionary.com!

no fair!
S.S. K-F and i used to email these back and forth when i was in sem.
except ours had to contain only one period! Also, we didn't allow words to be repeated...
it was jolly good fun.

here's mine for the day:

“Baked beans,” boasted boring bespectacled Bella, “broke Benjamin’s blue brontosaurus before blasting bright beams beyond Barbara’s bathtub.” Brittany baked Bobby blackened bananas, but Brenda’s bad, blatantly boring behavior brought burning boils bursting brackish brown brine by bony boys’ bodies. Brilliant builder Bob bragged, “Babies born belated blow bubbles better.” “Baloney!” babbled bigheaded Bailey, “Bigger, broader binoculars blind blubbery beasts because brushing blossoming bristles begins biological bolstering!” “Besides,” bemoaned Beth, “Bart’s blaring, beeping bell bespeaks bye-bye!”

The theatrics that the thespian thoughtfully theorized, though theoretically thrilling, thoroughly throttled the throng. The thespian thickly thought the throng thirsted thaumaturgy; though that thought thunderously thumped them. Though the throng thought the thespian thwarted, that thieving Thermopylaen thwacked the thunderstruck throng thrice thereafter. HA!
